The White Birch’ was a melancholic Norwegian band comprised of: Ola Fløttum, Hans Christian Almendingen and Ulf Rogde. Their most recent record “Come up for air ” has received wide acclaim for its dreamy, majestic sound.
They have recorded five albums in their ten year existence. They are: ” Self-Portrayal ” [ 1996, limited 300 copy vinyl only ], ” Left Hand EP ” [ 1997 limited 200 copy EP ] ” People Now Human Beings ” [ 1998 ] ” Star is Just A Sun ” [ 2002 ] and ” Come Up For Air ” [ 2005 ].
Hans Christian and Ulf left the band in summer of 2006, but Ola will continue ‘The White Birch’ and is currently working on a new album.
