TAHTA MENEZES It already divided the stage with Chico Buarque, Tito Madi, Miele, and had its voice praised for Jane Duboc, Marisa Gata Mansa, Joyce, Zelia Duncan, Billy Blanco, Claudia Telles, Mauro Ferreira, Danilo Caymmi, Ricardo Cravo Albin, Braulio Neto, Peri Ribeiro, Nelson Ayres, Abel Silva, Paulinho Nogueira, Danilo Caymmi, Mauro Dias among others. A singer with a total original style, owner of a crystalline and emotive voice, Tahta Menezes was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Brings in her veins very significant a musical inheritance; her father is the piano player and arranger Aécio Flávio and her mother is the singer Nilza Menezes. Tahta have a very diversified experience, therefore since child already it recorded jingles and it participated of choirs for records of artists as Guilherme Arantes, Zizi Possi, Beth Carvalho and others. Had participation in diverse festivals for the Brazil, also conquering, the first place of the Festival Song of the Rio de Janeiro in 1995, to the side of Cris Delanno, and also the fifth place (it enters 1300 candidates) in the Visa-Festival, in São Paulo. Its talent was recognized in some on projects to Brazilian Popular Music as: “Children of the Bossa”, directed for Solange Kfouri and with the participation of Miele; “Others Yes”, musical group of new talents with the participation of Jorge Vercilo, Adil Tiscati, Marcelo Miranda among others; “Meeting Notables”, when it was supported by Chico Buarque and it carried out with Chico, moments of rare emotion in palco of the Dulcina Theater; “Rio New Bossa 2000”, where warmly it was applauded, in an alone show in Ipanema. Guest for Miele, made a wonderfull show called “Alley of Stars”, carried through in the famous Alley of the Bottles. The show, that had musical direction of Aécio Flávio and general direction of Miele, homaging Silvinha Telles, Dolores Duran and Elis Regina. After long season (1998-1999), the show was also carried through in the Mistura Fina, the Municipal Theater of Niterói and the House of Culture Estácio de Sá. It frequent acts in writings of choir and ground in some productions, and also has its registered work in international productions as for example, the Cd Last Night Moods, of recorder Smoove Records in partnership with the Albatroz, of Robert Menescal. Uma cantora com um estilo totalmente original, dona de uma voz cristalina e emocionante, Tahta Menezes é mineira de Belo Horizonte.Traz nas suas veias uma herança musical muito significativa; seu pai é o pianista e maestro Aécio Flávio e sua mãe é a cantora Nilza Menezes. Possui uma experiência bastante diversificada, pois desde criança já gravava jingles e participava de coros para discos de artistas como Guilherme Arantes, Zizi Possi, Beth Carvalho e etc. Teve participação em diversos festivais pelo país, conquistando inclusive, o primeiro lugar do Festival Canção do Rio em 1995, ao lado de Cris Delanno, e também o quinto lugar (entre 1300 candidatos) no Festival Visa-Eldorado-1999, em São Paulo. Seu talento foi reconhecido em vários projetos ligados à Música Popular Brasileira como: “Filhos da Bossa”, dirigido por Solange Kfouri e com a participação de Miele ; “Outros Sim”, movimento musical de novos talentos com a participação de Jorge Vercilo , Adil Tiscati,Marcelo Miranda entre outros ; “Encontros Notáveis”, quando foi apadrinhada por Chico Buarque e protagonizou com ele, momentos de rara emoção no palco do Teatro Dulcina ; “Rio Bossa Nova 2000”, onde foi calorosamente aplaudida, num show solo em Ipanema. Convidada por Miele , estrelou um belíssimo show denominado “Beco de Estrelas”, realizado no famoso Beco das Garrafas. O show, que teve direção musical de Aécio Flávio e direção geral de Miele, homenageava Silvinha Telles, Dolores Duran e Elis Regina. Depois de longa temporada (1998-1999), o show foi realizado também no Mistura Fina, no Teatro Municipal de Niterói e na Casa de Cultura Estácio de Sá. Atua frequentemente em gravações de coro e solo em várias produções, e tem seu trabalho registrado também em produções internacionais como por exemplo, o Cd Last Night Moods, da gravadora Smoove Records em parceria com a Albatroz, de Roberto Menescal. Em seu primeiro CD, “Herança”, produzido por Rômulo Gomes, Tahta Menezes recria canções de artistas consagrados como Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Ary Barroso, Ivan Lins, Belchior, Djavan, e também registra maravilhosas interpretações de canções inéditas.
