Not sure what's wrong with my mind
But I always seem to find
Some excuse to bring myself down
I should know better by now
It's strange, but yet somehow
So far I've managed not to drown
Though it brings me to my knees
Some call it a disease
But I can't seem to get it
So I might as well just pour me another glass
Of sweet self-medication
Cause I can't seem to get my head out of my ass
Without an offering of libation
To hit rock-bottom, and lose it all
Down is the only way to fall
Past, present & future erased
I don't even like the taste
Just the way it helps me to forget
Some would say I'm immature
Just hiding that I'm insecure
Convince myself there'll be no regrets
But it brings me to my knees
