Daniel Leal or just Dan (08.23.1977) is the guitarist and vocalist of the indie band \"The Jenniffers\" from São Paulo and recorded his solo album on a purely rock\'n\'roll style like Punk, Grunge, Pop Rock and Classic Rock.
Unlike the songs composed for \"jennies\" POETIC LICENSE is written entirely in English for a better listening with beats inspired by their idols such as Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Faith No More.
The best thing to say is that POETIC LICENSE is a pure and unpretentious study of Rock, where we can identify the various ways to make and play Rock Music, starting with the intense and realistic \"The Sidewalk Man\", from the heavy \"The Mud\", hearing the ballad \"for Diana\" in tribute to his wife and finally find the psychedelic and melancholy of \"Walking Faster\". The album is composed with lyrics that are social warnings and personal experiences which we identify.
Composed, played, sung, produced, mixed, edited and xeroxed in 3-way only by Dan, this album becomes 100% of its author, who recorded in their own home in the last 3 years of production, from 2009 to 2012 and without a professional studio backup.
Daniel Leal is a designer by profession and a musician by stubbornness. This album is recorded solely because of his passion for music, especially Rock, and for sure believe that we all have something to say and the right to be heard.
