In 1997 the first idea for a he makes his first record appearance as Biomekkanoid, covering an Ultravox song on the To Cut A Long Story Short compilation. The same year he joins S.P.O.C.K and quits his job in a music store (after 10 years) making a holy promise not to sell home keyboards to spoiled, untalented brats ever again. By this time S.P.O.C.K has already made several albums and done a pretty impressive amount of shows in all over Europe.
At the same time Christer started working part-time in a recording studio in Malmoe called MRC. A classical rock´n roll studio that occasionally recorded electronic acts like Elegant Machinery, Page and of course S.P.O.C.K (he often used tapes containing invaluable recordings by other more famous artists and making their music lost forever).
Since S.P.O.C.K´s songwriter Cpt. Eddie B Kirk had left the band Biomekkanik took over the role as songwriter and producer. In 1998 the 10 year anniversary single Speed of Light was released. Shortly after that the album 1999. S.P.O.C.K toured intensely during 1999 and 2002 in Europe and USA. Over a 100 shows where made including a Germany tour with AND ONE - a meeting that should prove productive later on. During this time he developed a solo technique playing on a wireless synth run through a guitar amp which "confused" the rather conservative electronic fans
2001 the idea for Biomekkanik pops up again while producing a metal / progressive band; Mr Kite and their first album All in Time. The introduction to the "newer" metal scene provides the missing ingredient for Biomekkanik. Bands like One Minute Silence, Fear factory, NIN etc. where and still are great inspiration sources.
During the making of the second Mr Kite album Box of fear 2004 a demo recording of License to live is released on the 2004 electriXmas festival compilation cd. With much appreciated help from Mr Kite band members Biomekkanik starts playing live at small clubs in Sweden. Biomekkanik quickly moves up to bigger stages WITHOUT having released an album. In 2006 Biomekkanik plays support for VNV Nation at KB , Malmoe. He plays at "Tradgarden" in Gothenburg a venue that holds about 1200 people. In 2009 he's confirmed support for Die Krupps in Sweden.
The yearly electriXmas festival compilations where to serve as "platforms" for releasing early versions of songs to keep up the interest. Like Heaven Awaits in 2004 and State of Perfection in 2008.
In 2008 a more solid recurring live setup emerges. At a festival gig in 2008 he teams up with the great guitar player Mattias Johansson from Project grudge and keyboard player/backup vocalist Andreas Ingefjord from Batallion. They have never rehearsed together before and still the show is a success.....yes it was, I'm not kidding you!
In November 2008 Biomekkanik signs with SSC and the debut album State of Perfection is mastered and finished. At the time of this writing it is not released....yet
